Carole, if you are on the main site you can see links on the left hand side of the shop that say "blank" and "not blank". So you can filter based on what is inside of the card. If it's "not blank" you can click on individual cards and see the inside since there are a few detailed photos of each design, both front, back and inside.

you can go to our main site and view the cards in our store. The individual pages there have more pictures, including the pictures of the insides of the cards. Many of the cards are blank on the inside though.

thanks for your question! If you browse to a submission that has ended, in the right hand margin you will find all the info. at the top of the margin you'll see the number of votes, and in the area that says "widget" you'll see the average score received.

if you would like to change the shipping address, email support@chirply.com with your order number and we'll take care of it for you.
If you order on Dec 18, it'll be shipped on the 19th via standard first class mail. So it all depends on the efficiency of the post-office if it gets there before the 24th. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee it.
The only way to guarantee is to upgrade to overnight shipping or to come to our office for pick-up if you're in San Francisco.

Thanks for your message. Yes, we need to simplify the ToS for sure. It's on our to-do list. Regarding the rights, you retain all rights. If and when you get printed, then we take a license on the illustration but you still retain the copyright. I hope that helps.

Yes, I think it would be a good idea for designers outside the US to get a paypal account. Some countries are not served by paypal, and in those countries, something like payoneer.com would also be a good option.

@repose - a winning design is based on voting. It's based not just on the number of votes, but the quality of votes. The quality of votes is based on:
1. number of total votes
2. score of each vote
3. activity/history of voter (examples: if a voter only votes for one design and nothing else, their vote has less weight than someone that has voted for many designs. Or, if a voter votes a '5' for one design and a '1' for all other designs, then that voter has less weight than a voter that has a more relevant voting pattern)The algorithm is more complicated than that, but basically the voting is based on a number of factors so popularity is not the only way someone can win.
Once voting ends, we try to inform everyone (winner or not) within 45 days.

Hi Jeannene, thanks for your comment. You are absolutely correct. We need to make the terms clearer and simpler. To answer your question, designers get an up front payment AND a royalty. Right now it's a $300 up front payment and $100 per 1,000 sales. As we grow, we will increase these payments over time. Updating the terms is on my list of things to do :)

@KL Chu: nice to meet you as well! Sure, you can use photoshop, no problem! All submissions are just composite image and thumbnails initially. If you get selected to be printed, that is when we ask for the original artwork for print - and you can submit the PSD as long as it's layered (not flattened).
The actual submission to the site is just 600x600 px composite images (png, jpg, etc) and a thumbnail (205x115 px).

@anonymous - you can log into the site with your facebook account, then go to "my account" and update your password there. Then you can login with your email & password anytime, rather than with facebook. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the comment. The way the templates are named, are based on the folded configuration of the card. So yes, they look switched, but if you consider the fold line, the tall one folds down to a landscape card, and the wide one folds over to be a portrait card. Does that make sense? I guess the PDF templates don't have the fold marks on them.
Hi Shelby, typically we get in touch with submitters within 45 days of the voting ending. Recently, we've been shuffling a few things around and will be launching a bunch of new stuff, so we're taking a bit longer. I'm really sorry, but we'll get back to you soon for sure!!!
